i asked a friend why, even though I’m happy, calmingmanatee.com brings a tear to my eye.
Her amazing response was:
I think it’s because once you’ve known pain, in some ways it’s always there. You don’t take things for granted, but you’re also always scared and aware that things don’t have to be good.
